On this
tour we have 3days at the Quilter’s Heritage Quilt show
in Lancaster. Visit Quilt museums, the best fabric
shops, ride the Strasburg railroad, go downtown in
Lancaster, go to the Farmers market, Wheatland. We learn
about the Amish way of life, visit Amish ladies in their
quilt shops, tour Amish farmlands and finish the tour
with dinner with an Amish family in their own home – an
exclusive for JJN.

Day 1: |
Flight to Philadelphia.

Day 2: |
Visit Intercourse PA, centre of the Amish area. See the audio visual "Amish
Experience". Visit a number of quilt and fabric shops. |

|
Day 3: |
Visit an Amish Woman's quilt shop.
Spend a few hours in historic Strasburg and ride on the
Steam Railway. Visit Rockvale Outlet Mall. |
|
|
|
Day 4: |
"Quilters Heritage Celebration" - a national quilt show with 3 halls of quilts
and up to 70 workshops to choose from. Seminars, Fashion Shows, Luncheons and
lots lots more. |

Day 5: |
Another day at the Quilt Show. |
|
|
|
Day 6: |
A rest day? or maybe visit the show again! |
|
|
|
Day 7: |
Brunch at the Eden Courtyard - experience the American way of eating! Afternoon
visit to Landis Valley Farm Museum. |
|
|
|
Day 8: |
Tour "Wheatland" the home of James Buchanan - the 15th President of the USA.
Visit sauders and weavers fabric shops - each one bigger than the last! On to the town of Lititz. |

|
Day 9: |
On to Lancaster town for
a visit to Quilt Museum and lunch followed by a guided tour of Amish farmlands ending
with dinner with an Amish family in their farmhouse. Not
to be missed! |

|
Our last day, morning visit to the town of Bird
in the Hand and Intercourse - last chance to shop!! And then on to
the airport for our evening flight back to London. |
The cost
includes: Flight, Transport, Hotel, Breakfast, Dinner in
Lancaster Hotel and local restaurants, registration for
the quilt show, admission into all museums gratuities
and taxes etc.
Not
included are individual workshops, lunches. Travel
insurance.
