The experience starts here!
Our last tour of the
year, the highlight of which is the Quilt auction, it is a special
day amongst the Amish and their families, there are lots of quilts
and wall hangings to bid for, also lots of other crafts. This tour
we also go to Gettysburg and have a tour of the battlefields, visit
the Capitol buildings and have lunch at Hershey chocolate world!!
Plus we do all the other good things, Quilt museums, the best fabric
shops, Wheatland, downtown Lancaster and the farmers market, visit
the Amish ladies in their quilt shops, tour the Amish farmlands and
finish the tour with dinner, with an Amish family in their own home.

Day 1: |
Flight to Philadelphia |

Day 2: |
Visit Intercourse PA the centre of the Amish
area. See the audio visual "Amish Experience" and visit
a number of fabric shops. |

Day 3: |
Tour to Gettysburg - the site of the famous Civil
War battle |

Day 4: |
Trip to Harrisburg, to see the state Museum
& Capitol building. Afternoon visit to Hershey
Chocolate Town. |

Day 5: |
Visit 2 fabric shops - each one bigger than the
last! On to the town of Lititz for lunch, then on to
Double Heart Gallery. |

Day 6: |
Annual Strasburg Fire Company Quilt Auction. |

Day 7: |
Brunch at the Eden Courtyard - experience the
American way of eating! Afternoon visit to Landis Valley
Farm Museum. |

Day 8: |
Free day to relax or shop. |
| |
|
Day 9: |
Tour "Wheatland" the home of James Buchanan -
the 15th President of the USA. On to Lancaster town for
Quilt Museum and lunch followed by a guided tour of Amish farmlands ending
with dinner with an Amish family in their farmhouse. Not
to be missed!! |

Our last day, morning visit to the town of Bird
in the Hand and Intercourse - last chance to shop!! And
then on to the airport for our evening flight back to
London. |
